Basics of Simple

Hello,

Did you ever had that urge of wanting a clean plate, a beginning to start over?

Genesis 1:1-3 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Every morning, God invite us to start over, he gives us life with the understanding that today is a new day. It's difficult right! We cannot see the finish line, nor the starting line, because our daily tasks from the previous day, just pours over to this new morning. my first impression, is to roll over and buried myself under the covers, not wanting to face the light. However, struggles, expenses and maybe our dreams, forces our feet off onto the floor and the actual day begun with or without us.

I remember my first time on a missionary trip, me and 47 other people in Kenya, from the time the plane took off at Sea-Tac Airport in Seattle and touch down in Nairobi Africa, our heartbeats were beating to a new tune of life. However, for me the struggle started much sooner and it was about having the time to embark on such a journey. I did not have enough time available to go on the trip, but God open doors, that I personal thought was impossible. Why did I not plan my vacation time better? Well the answer to that question is that I just switch churches on Easter and that was the Sunday that I heard about the trip, which we only had two months to prepare. But God open doors and to this very day, I have no way of knowing how God made the impossible, possible. But I was on that flight and my life has never been the same since.

New mornings are possible for the human mind, even during the impossible timing of life. Imagine, most of us do not have to prepare for a missionary trip out of nowhere, we just have to be ready to answer the call of God and right now, he is calling us to the new day of our lives. Yes,  yesterday will be lingering around, but if we see the importance of mornings, we see that yesterday struggle ended yesterday.

By living just a simple life, we closed the door on old problems. Just make this one commitment by saying these words and taking ownership of your life.

Today, I will not created any new problems for myself and I will not be seduce by the luxuries of life. I want a clean plate and today, I want to see how long I can last without adding to my plate, that makes my life a struggle. I want to see what it feels like to experience a new morning, without yesterday blues. I want to closed yesterday struggles and allow God to open the door to peace and grace. No matter what my circumstances are the day before, this morning is about beginning a new day and closing the chapter on yesterday. My reward is knowing that God loves me and one morning, I will wake up, get dressed and walk out the door and I will be free for the rest of my life.

New mornings has always been my motto, but that struggle doors stays wide open. I have been contemplating on how to closed that door once and for all. It will take time but the good news is that, the new morning is only a few hours away. I will greet it and avoid the struggle line and from this morning going forward, my plate is clean and that old plate will eventually be gone.

I love life and whoever you are, I love you!
Cynthia
